Shortlist Private Tours
Yarra Valley
The Yarra Valley is fast becoming one of Australia’s best known destinations for gourmet food and wine.
With over 100 cellar doors to choose from, some of the country’s best wine makers and a growing selection of boutique, artisan food options we are certainly spoiled for choice around Healesville, Coldstream and Steels Creek.
Of course on a Shortlist Private Tour you can be assured we’ve done the research to ensure your day out not only matches your expectations but will usually surpass them.
Warburton Valley
Whilst the Warburton Valley – often called the Upper Yarra Valley is lesser known than its big cousin on the Maroondah highway, you might be surprised by the number of premium wineries who await our visit. When you add in specialist Gin, Cheese, Bread, Coffee and pastry specialists, not to mention the vast number of natural eco sites, walks and cultural places of interest – and the occasional sprinkling of Snow on Mt Donna Buang – it seems a shame to miss this (not so) hidden treasure. Being locals, we know the best places to visit and the best times to go there.
Mornington Peninsula
Not so far away sits the not so sleepy Mornington Peninsula where you’ll delight in the spectacular sea views, the mix of forest and farmland and of course the fantastic Chardonnays and Pino Noirs (among other varieties), which are the cornerstones of this cool climate wine region. There’s no shortage of fabulous lunch spots either where you can relax and savour the regional foods before heading off in the afternoon to continue your tour.
Great Ocean Road
Almost every body’s heard of the Great Ocean Road but when did you last gaze across the vast sandstone monoliths that are the 12 Apostles? In fact there’s only about 7 of them left these days so don’t wait till your next lifetime to – visit or they may well be gone!
And its as much about the journey as it is the destination. The stunning clifftop road winds its way from Torquay past the beachside towns of Lorne and Apolo Bay all the way to Port Campbell and beyond. Its truly a drive of a lifetime and if you are the driver, theres no time to take in the breathtaking views. It’s a long day there and back but so worth while, so be sure to book your Shortlist Private Tour so you can relax and enjoy every moment – and its fine to fall asleep in the comfortable leather seats as we make our way home.
Fairy Penguins at Phillip Island
If seeing the Fairy Penguins at Phillip Island is on your bucket list its best to know exactly where you’re going and when to go there. Yes, the little penguins know the drill as they waddle ashore every night (at dusk) but you don’t want to be late or miss a turnoff on the way. Booking your trip with Shortlist Private Tours ensures a safe and trouble free journey and a you can rest assured you’ll enjoy every moment of this unique adventure.
Central Goldfields
More and more people are looking to travel just North of Melbourne to visit the Central Goldfields and experience an authentic taste of Regional Victoria. The towns of Dalesford, Kyneton, Castlemaine, Woodend, Ballarat and Bendigo have so much to see and do that just a Day Tour hardly does justice to the trip – which is why we suggest staying overnight if at all possible. Not that a Day Tour will disappoint, far from it, but we are sure you’ll want to return for more very soon. To whet your appetite, call us to discuss the options, where to eat, where to stay and which towns to visit. But be aware you may have trouble sleeping that night such will be your excitement!
